2024 LIVE GROUP PERFORMANCE

TMA_logo_White_web.png

This evening length work is a vigorous dance project weaving together an intergenerational cast of feminine bodies with a lifetime of raw and real sensations, grounded in the company's signature aesthetic of strong and fiercely feminine dance. The dance work interconnects compelling solos, duets, and dynamic group performances with intriguing interactive collaged fabrics resembling quilts, created by gwen charles, a bungee cord that tethers dancers together, memorable live violin by Grace Liu Anderson, and electronic sound scores. This captivating journey through life’s real and profound emotions is the framework for this one-of-a-kind dance project featuring a diverse cast of women aged 16-70’s.

This project was supported through a residency at MANA Contemporary through the Monira Foundation (Jersey City) and through the Lehigh Valley Dance Exchange/Cedar Crest College Artist Residency (PA).  This project is also made possible by funds from the Essex County Division of Cultural Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
